We require credit card details when you book our fully-flex rate but only to secure your booking. We do not ask for full payment up front. Payment for your stay and any extras you have taken whilst you are with us will be required when you check out and not before.
Yes – whilst we really hope that you won’t need to cancel your booking, on our fully-flexible rate, as long as you cancel your booking before 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive, there will be no charge. If you do need to cancel simply give us a call on 01254 813333.
Bookings cancelled after 10:00am on the day before you’re due to arrive will be charged for the first night’s stay. No Shows will be charged for the first night’s stay.
No we take a credit card to guarantee reservations and our cancellation policy then applies.
Yes – larger County Rooms £10.00 additional charge per night. Character room £20.00 additional charge per night. Suite £30.00 additional charge per night. Elma suite £40.00 supplement charge per night.

We cannot guarantee late checkouts, as it is subject to availability and times requested. We do however try to do our best to accommodate where possible.
Wi-Fi is now available in all rooms and all public areas.
Yes, however, these do need to be set up with head office and are for regular users.
Tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite bathroom with bath and/or shower and
complimentary toiletries.
Most of our rooms are fitted with walk-in showers; if you would specifically like a bath, please call us when making your room reservation.
Yes, we have a limited supply and there is no charge other than an additional £6.00 to cover the breakfast allocation.
Our full Lancashire breakfast is served from 7.00 am – 9.30 am during mid-week and 8.00 am – 10.00 am at weekends – but if you would like an earlier breakfast, please ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate this.
We serve from 12 noon till 9.30 pm Monday to Saturday and then from 12 noon till 9:00 pm on Sundays. Our dining areas do get busy so if you would like us to reserve a table for you please just ask.
The bar opens from 11:00 am – 11:00 pm Monday to Thursday
11:00 am – Midnight Friday to Saturday
Yes – we can offer private dining for celebrations and events.
On-site complimentary car parking available. Approximately 42 places.
Yes– We are a dog friendly inn with dog friendly rooms. Your four-legged friend is very welcome, all we ask is you bring your own dog bed and towels out of consideration for the other guests. We do charge £15 per stay for your dog to join you in your room (this will be added to your bill on check-in); this is so we can give the room the extra special attention needed afterwards to ensure it is pristine for the next arrivals.
We love to welcome well-behaved owners and their dogs to the inn, but please be aware that not everyone loves your dog as much as you do. To help us keep happy customers of both 2 and 4 legged varieties please observe our simple requests:
– Dogs are allowed in the bar area, but not in the dining only areas
– Please don’t let your dog jump or pester other guests, or their pets or disturb others by barking
– Make sure your dog is clean and dry before they come in to the inn
We have an allocated disabled parking space by the front door and there is a small ramp on the right-hand side for easy access; All the doors into the main building are double doors to allow ease of access in a wheelchair.
Yes – we can offer a meeting room for up to 12 people and will organise catering with you as needed.
Late bar and late food on request. If you’re looking for a location for a larger group ask about taking over all of the Millstone for the night.
We’re happy to provide picnics for you to take when you’re for the day, just ask for details –
